Lisa Kudrow may forever be famous for playing Phoebe Buffay in the now iconic sitcom Friends but for a number of years, she went through tough times, just like we all do.
Life, as most would agree, seldom unfolds as per plans. We may think we have it all under control but an unexpected push or nudge from somewhere might undo all the effort and leave us at strange cross-roads. In such trying times, it is difficult to keep faith in yourself.
But, as it’s often said, there is a reason for everything and one needs to just find that. Lisa Kudrow, who played the character Phoebe Buffay in the famous television sitcom F.R.I.E.N.D.S says the same in a video that is being widely shared on Facebook.
In the speech, she explains that she was devastated after being fired from TV show Frasier following the pilot. She states: “When one door closes, another door always opens. It really does. That's what I would tell myself to keep those moments of doubt only moments.
Kudrow in the video shares how she was fired from American hit sitcom Frasier, and yet she trudged along. And finally after several audition she got the role of Phoebe Buffay and, the rest, as they say is history. Further quoting Lisa in her speech:
“It worked. I kept going. After many auditions, I was the second person cast in the pilot called 'Friends Like Us', which would be later changed to 'Friends'.” She concludes the speech saying: “So, thank God I got fired. There is a reason for everything.”
